Geheco secures Shell Impact Fund support

Published
Two entrepreneurs, Onno Bierhoff and Arjen van der Horst, joined forces to create Geheco, a company that aims to make the installation of water-to-water heat pumps simpler and more affordable.

Their innovative approach reduces the need for heavy machinery and extensive garden excavation, making it possible to install a geothermal heat source with just a small van and minimal disruption.

Geheco’s innovative system uses multiple shallow loops, which eliminates the need for deep drilling, making the installation compact and ideal for urban environments where space is limited. This system also helps reduce strain on the power grid and addresses urban heat challenges.

With support from the Shell Impact Fund, which backs businesses driving the energy transition, Geheco is gaining momentum. The company’s system has attracted interest from industry experts, many of whom are eager to install it in their own homes.
