NEXTdriver receives logistics investment to scale data-driven driver coaching platform

Published
NEXTdriver, the leading platform for coaching and supporting professional drivers and delivery personnel, has received a strategic investment from several logistics companies. This capital injection will support the further growth of the platform.

NEXTdriver differentiates itself by combining data-driven coaching with a personalized approach for drivers. The platform allows coaches to efficiently support over 100 drivers daily. It integrates seamlessly with various onboard computer systems and remains system-agnostic, enabling fair driver comparisons. This data-driven approach helps drivers adopt safer and more sustainable driving behaviors—without requiring additional hardware.

Measurable sustainability and cost savings

On average, NEXTdriver customers reduce fuel consumption by nearly 4.5%, leading to an annual saving of around 1,150 liters per truck and a reduction of 3 tons of CO₂ emissions. This translates into direct fuel cost savings of over €1,500 per driver per year and a lower CO₂ tax burden for businesses. The more logistics companies promote the platform’s benefits among drivers and within their organizations, the greater the impact. NEXTdriver significantly contributes to the logistics sector’s sustainability goals.

Investor confidence in technological innovation

Investors acknowledge NEXTdriver’s innovation and its positive impact on key logistics challenges. “NEXTdriver delivers a major improvement,” stated one of the investors. “The platform demonstrably reduces maintenance costs and fuel consumption while ensuring continuous driver support, enhancing road safety for our employees.”

Expansion into Belgium and Germany

With the newly acquired investment, NEXTdriver will expand its services in the Netherlands and establish a presence in Belgium and Germany. The focus remains on further platform development to support businesses in sustainability, digitalization, and operational efficiency—always keeping drivers at the center. A key area of expansion includes coaching drivers on tachograph use to help reduce and prevent fines and ERRU penalty points.

NEXTdriver’s successful implementation in medium-sized and large (international) logistics companies and delivery services highlights its effectiveness. The platform’s growth demonstrates that combining smart technology with behavioral insights drives meaningful improvements in the logistics industry.
