Maritime & Offshore NL is partnering with YES!Delft to support maritime startups

A festive moment on Tuesday afternoon in the NL Lounge at Europort: with the signing of the agreement by Moshe Sijben (YES!Delft) and Dan Veen (Maritime & Offshore NL), the collaboration has officially been established.

Moshe: “People often say, ‘It takes a village to raise a child,’ but I would also say, ‘It takes an ecosystem to raise a startup.’ The strength lies in combining forces. There’s a lot involved in starting and scaling a startup.” Moshe isn’t just referring to the technical side. Questions about the business side of entrepreneurship can also be challenging. Questions such as: Are we targeting the right audience? How do we build a network? Where can we find our customers? These can all create uncertainty.

YES!Delft helps entrepreneurs grow their companies. The collaboration with Maritime & Offshore NL enables YES!Delft to offer even more support to maritime startups. Moshe: “We want to immerse startups in the network of the manufacturing industry. This partnership makes that possible.”

Moshe Sijben, YES!Delft

For twenty years, YES!Delft has been supporting tech startups. Together with Maritime & Offshore NL, they will organize events and assign a maritime expert to startups in this sector. Dan: “A maritime expert serves as an experienced sounding board — someone who can think critically and offer their network.”

One company that joined YES!Delft about twenty years ago, is Ampelmann. They are now an established name in the sector. Moshe: “Even today, the (former) founders remain actively involved in the YES!Delft ecosystem, supporting young entrepreneurs.”
