Respyre and HyER Power receives funding for testing at The Green Village

Published
This week, Maarten D. and Riny de Groot visited The Green Village to present funding cheques to three entrepreneurs committed to advancing sustainability in the built environment. Their generous donations will support startups in conducting crucial tests at The Green Village, accelerating their journey toward making a real-world impact.

Two of these innovative startups, Respyre and HyER Power, YES!Delft ecosystem startups. The Recipients:

🌿 Respyre
Respyre is pioneering the development of circular, bioreceptive concrete and a bio-stimulating gel that enables moss to grow on any vertical surface. By making nature-inclusive building more accessible and sustainable, Respyre is shaping a greener urban landscape.

💧 HyER Power
HyER Power tackles the challenge of grid congestion by integrating hydrogen fuel cell and heat pump technology to deliver clean electricity and heat to the built environment. This solution ensures reliable and sustainable energy supply while addressing critical infrastructure bottlenecks.

🐑 Hollands Wol Collectief
Addressing the wasteful disposal of Dutch sheep’s wool, Hollands Wol Collectief transforms this underutilized resource into high-quality, locally produced wool felt and fibers. Their work promotes a circular economy and highlights the value of natural materials.

Making an Impact

Thanks to the support from Maarten D. and Riny de Groot, these entrepreneurs will be able to conduct vital tests at The Green Village, a living lab for sustainable innovations. This funding enables them to refine their solutions and make meaningful contributions to sustainability in the built environment.

The collaboration exemplifies how partnerships between visionaries and entrepreneurs can accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable future.
