YES!Delft receives financial support from MRDH

Published
YES!Delft has received financial support from the Metropolitan Region Rotterdam-The Hague (MRDH).

YES!Delft is happy to announce that we have received financial support from the Metropolitan Region Rotterdam-The Hague (MRDH). This support consists of a two-year contribution, with €250,000 allocated annually. This funding is most welcome to bridge the gap in structural financing. Currently, a significant portion of YES!Delft’s funding comes from shareholders, short-term project assignments and grants, which limits our ability to focus on our core mission: attracting and supporting startups.

Over the past 20 years, YES!Delft has proven itself as a breeding ground for many startups in the technology industry. We have supported over 450 startups, many of which have grown into successful companies. Eighty percent of the startups founded with the help of YES!Delft are still operating five years after joining the Accelerator program.

Saskia Bruines, Chair of the Executive Committee for Economic Affairs and Deputy Mayor of Economy for the City of The Hague, said: “The presence of startups in our region is beneficial for the business climate and is essential for the economic growth of our region. YES!Delft plays a key role in attracting and developing these companies. Some of these startups grow into scale-ups, well-established companies. Startups and scale-ups contribute to employment, and their presence enhances the region’s attractiveness for talent and businesses.”

Two-year financial support

The financial support from MRDH to YES!Delft is for a two-year period. After the first year, MRDH will assess whether YES!Delft has benefited from the funding and if it has been able to strengthen its focus on supporting startups. By the end of the second year, YES!Delft should be able to continue its activities with contributions from other partners.
