YES!Delft and Deltares have recently taken a significant step toward accelerating technological innovation. The organizations signed a partnership agreement to combine their strengths. This collaboration opens new opportunities for startups!

In YES!Delft’s Accelerator Program, startups receive guidance to develop their concepts further and make them market-ready. This program provides access to the right resources, expertise, and networks essential for success.

A hub for innovation

Deltares’ SME Team initiated the connection with YES!Delft, recognises the incubator as a valuable hub for startups. The SME Team acknowledges that reaching this target group and informing them about opportunities, such as the Deltares SME Challenge, can be challenging.

By participating in the Deltares SME Challenge, startups not only gain access to Deltares’ expertise but also to its experimental research facilities. These include wave and flow testing facilities, geotechnical laboratories, data facilities, and the brand-new Delta Lab (chemical, biological, and physical laboratory).

First Successful Collaboration

The first success story of this partnership is already a reality. Last week, GEHECO participated in the SME Challenge pitch competition before a Deltares jury. GEHECO, currently in YES!Delft’s Pre-accelerator Program, specializes in installing closed-loop heating systems using an injection lance.As one of four winners of Deltares’ Fall 2024 SME Challenge, GEHECO now has the opportunity to test its technology in Deltares’ cutting-edge research facilities—an essential step in validating their product.
