What is a UNconference?
The Scale-up UNconference is an interactive event where you, as a scale-up founder, can share your knowledge and experience, and learn from the experiences and expertise of other scale-up founders
The purpose of the UNconference is knowledge sharing. The expertise, challenges, and questions of the participants determine the program of the UNconference. What makes this gathering so valuable is that it revolves around topics that you find important! These topics can vary widely: they could involve the building blocks for success during your company’s growth, the do’s and don’ts for attracting talent, specific choices you’ve made in entrepreneurship, and even failures from which everyone can learn.
What are we going to do?
When you arrive on Thursday, we’ll first have a brief gathering to explain how the UNconference works and what the day will look like. Then, we’ll start by looking at the agenda together. The agenda will feature a matrix with all available spaces and time slots. We’ll begin with a blank agenda, but the idea is for each of us to place our topics or questions for discussion in the time slots. You will be asked to write your question/topic on a post-it note. Then, one by one, we will announce these topics and assign your post-it note to a room and time slot.
If you’ve proposed a session, it’s your responsibility to be present in the session and initiate the discussion. You can introduce your topic by asking an initial question or providing information about your thoughts. Each room will have a facilitator present to help facilitate the discussion when necessary.
Each room will have a flip chart, markers, and post-it notes that can be used for drawing or writing, and where the results of each session can be documented.
The aim of this event is to engage in conversation with one another and learn from each other. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, learn from other entrepreneurs, share your knowledge, make new connections, and have fun!
