👉🏼 Your mission and ideal outcome
Your mission is to get the best tech entrepreneurs to join YES!Delft and you will scout, screen and select startups. As a scout, you are the main point of contact for tech startups. You will assess how we can help these startups best based on their startup phase and needs. You represent YES!Delft and explain our purpose, programs and services to entrepreneurs wherever you go.
Throughout your work you continuously collect and interpret data to ensure a constant flow of high-quality applications consisting of promising and committed startup teams. You keep in touch with founders, startups and aspiring researchers, professionals, and student teams. We expect a data-driven approach, relationship management however is key in how you handle these tactics. As such, you will join relevant events and startup challenges and keep in close contact with our (regional) partners, e.g. investors and Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University.
💻 Requirements
- You have great communication skills, talking with and listening to people you don’t know is second nature to you
- You are passionate about tech innovation, curious to learn more, and already familiar with basic startup concepts (e.g. problem-solution fit and product-market fit) and technology readiness levels (TRL)
- You uphold a keen interest and drive to understand technology sectors, trends, diverse business models, market dynamics, and investment landscapes.
- You feel comfortable managing your own workflow, are able to handle multiple scouting projects at the same time, and can capture and derive insights from data (e.g. industry reports, CRM and pipeline management)
- You have a relevant completed WO or HBO degree and preferably you bring some experience from the entrepreneurship ecosystem (startup, incubator, corporate innovation department, VC or other)
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a bonus)
